3. Skill development - running & defending - Score A Try

How to play

• Groups of five
• Grids 10m x 10m
• One ball per group

One player is nominated as the defender and takes up position in the centre of the grid. One by one, the attackers try to pass the defender and score a try at the far side of the grid, without being tackled along the way. One point is given to the defender if he / she successfully tackles a player; similarly, the attacker gains a point if he / she successfully scores a try.

•Work for four tackles, then change the
nominated defender.
